Kristine Kenyon was born and raised on the West Coast. Now residing in Central Valley California. A retired CEO and has written on and off most of her life. In 1995 she decided that writing was her passion a year later sold her business, then married her husband, Steven Kenyon. She is a mother of five and a graduate of Long Ridge Writers College.
As writer of non-fiction, she’s been published in e-zine’s as the author of motivational and relationship related articles for web publication. Passionate about Poetry, Kristine allows her creative side to expand in ethereal proportions as often she looks to the heavens for inspiration in her words. In 1996 she was published in the Anthology, A CELEBRATION OF POETS and has since written literally hundreds of poems. Now working on her own book tentatively titled “Poetry in Starlight”. This is to be a compilation of her poetry sprinkled with collaborations she’s written with several other published authors. If her writing goes as scheduled, the book should be released in Winter of 2011.
Kristine is affiliated with Flexwriters of Poetry. As their site manager since 2009 and continues to be actively involved in FCN – Flexwriters Creative Network. This is a network of writers that come together as a community do to the vision of friend and colleague, Tarringo T. Vaughn. Tarringo, the Founder of Flexwriters, has branched out with web magazines and a social site FCN. Kristine, is also known in writers circles as “Mistress Kristine” or by her nickname, “Starlight” (a name that’s followed her since her youth because of her fascination with the stars) is very involved with encouraging the poet within you. Among her many accomplishments, Kristine is a retired Instructor of many years, wherein, among other subjects, she taught a motivational course. If you’ve ever read any of her non-fiction articles you’d know this person is of a positive nature.
The Starlight Review at kristinekenyon.com is here for the sole purpose of expression, as well as being an external outlet, further exposing writers and artists. She hopes to help the unpublished writer gain more recognition in this world. Kristine realizes that it will take time to build the Starlight Review into the vision she has, but she’s willing, taking it day by day to grow this incredible web-log.
